Every den, plus parents, siblings, and family members are welcome!
Pack 115 is heading to one of Northeast Ohio's most storied spots. On Saturday, November 14, at 9:30 AM ET, we'll explore the network of trails behind Squire's Castle in North Chagrin Reservation, and our Cubmaster will share the history of the castle along the way. Families are encouraged to attend.
Trail exploration: Scouts will walk the trails behind the castle, with plenty of time to look around and ask questions.
A quick history lesson: Cubmaster Greg will tell the story of Squire's Castle, a stone gatehouse from the 1890s built by Feargus B. Squire for an estate that was never finished. Cleveland Metroparks acquired the property in 1925.
Fall scenery: Late-autumn woods and a landmark that looks like a fairy tale.
Every scout should carry the Cub Scout Six Essentials on a hike:
First-aid kit
Water bottle, filled
Flashlight
Trail food
Sun protection (hat and sunscreen)
Whistle
Also plan for:
Sturdy, closed-toe shoes that can get muddy
Layers and a jacket for a chilly November morning
Class A uniform or pack t-shirt, as your den leader requests
